Reviewed notes and corrections
An adult-bee wash measures mites per sampled adult bee. It does not count the reproductive population under cappings. The sheet’s colony size, brood count and mites-per-cell values are illustrative assumptions, not measurements of your hive. An effective management program need not kill mites inside capped cells in one application: approved timing, repeat applications or brood management can address mites as they emerge.
