When a Varroa Treatment Stops Working — Acaricide Resistance

Reviewed notes and corrections

A poor treatment result is a reason to investigate, not proof of resistance by itself. Check correct product use, dose, timing, storage, colony configuration and reinvasion, alongside repeated mite measurements. Resistance concerns can require testing and changes in mode of action within label directions. Do not raise pesticide doses beyond the label to compensate for suspected resistance.
